See our intricate Laotian Ceremonial pieces reminding us of the power of womanhood as the cosmic serpent mother motif representing female energy and life forces. Our new colorful cotton and silk yardage from the looms of Thailand and Laos, special Katu tribe beaded runners, stunning cotton and silk scarves and shawls by leading women artisans are sure to stimulate your senses and bring you fully into the feel of the season. These and more will be available in our fabulous showroom with staff attuned to your needs and happy to help with your selections. Indigo ikat cottons and Hmong tribal batiks are available by the yard or piece. Unique jackets, blouses and tunics made in our Silver Spring studio are both casual and comfy wearable for everyday or evening.

We support women's cooperatives, sustainable practices and fairly traded goods.

We are members of Weave A Real Peace, a textile community that raises awareness of the importance of textile traditions to grassroots economies. We support village based women’s cooperatives and fairly traded goods.

We'll be highlighting festive wearables for the season including silk and cotton ikat  jackets, blouses, scarves and many other unique pieces.  Our collection is curated and presented by Susan McCauley who works directly with artisans in mainland SE Asia.  For over 30 years she has supported weavers working to maintain their culture, traditions and way of life in a sustainable way.  Enjoy Susan's  journey through the beauty of her garments and textiles while delighting in the accomplishments of women artisans.  This show is a great way to segue into the celebrations of the season, to indulge your senses and to boost your joy of life.

See our new collection of handwoven silks and cottons from the looms of Thailand and Laos  including fabric, scarves, shawls and wall hangings. We travel each year to our weavers, selecting and ordering their unique hand-woven textiles from the rich textile heritage of this area. This includes ikat and batik resist-dyed fabrics, tribal embroidery and applique, and indigo dyeing along with other indigenous techniques.   You'll see tops and jackets, skirts and vests, unique clothing we design and produce from our fabrics, all available at the show.  Or order a special garment to fit your needs.  Please come and explore and enjoy.
