Cotton & Rayon Fabric

Many of our artisans are certified by the Thai Department of Environmental Quality and they are trained in the use of safe-dye techniques and are green certified. Others work with natural dye materials they gather locally or cultivate in nearby plots, such as indigo.

All cottons are medium weight plain weaves, and are sold by the yard unless otherwise indicated.

A unique festive fabric in red and black ikat is further enhanced with a shiny tincel thread in this soft and drapey fabric. The red border along each selvage is a bonus for design possibilities. Thai weavers along the Mekong River increasingly use rayon fiber as upriver dams affect the river's flow and cotton growing uncertain.
