Mixed stripes of indigo, red, green and gold give deep textural qualities to fabric woven with resist ikat patterning and weft brocade thread embellishment. It is worn by groups along the Mekong River as a tube skirt called a "pha sin" their everyday attire. Grand naga scales fill the indigo areas representing protection to the wearer.
